Those film memories from 30, 40, even 70 years ago, are at risk of being lost!

Time, storage conditions and the system you may use to play those old reels of film, could damage or destroy years of memories.  The only way to enjoy your old home movies is to protect them by having your film transferred to video.  We can convert your 8mm, Super8, 16mm, Sound or Silent films to DVD or video. We can add music, text graphics, and even edit your film to make it more enjoyable.

Film conversion is a two-step process.  First we convert your film to digital video.  From there, we can output your film to a variety of formats including DVD, videotape or computer video files.

  • We do all film transfer "in-house".

  • We do not send your priceless films across the country for some other company to transfer

  • We will be happy to give you a free estimate for your order.

  • Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Why does MVP charge by the minute? To save you money and to create a better video for you.  With most companies, if you bring in a 400 foot reel of film they will charge by the foot.  For example, 400 feet x 12¢ = $48.

At MVP, we watch as your film is converted.  If you have a blank section, or the film is so overexposed you can't see anything, or the film is just all black, we cut out the bad sections from your video (if at least 4 seconds long).  After your film is digitized in our editing systems, we time the video.  For example, if we cut out very little and the tape is 28 minutes, the charge is 28 minutes x $1.50 = $42.   If your reel had more bad film and let's say we cut out 2 minutes, 26 x $1.50 = $39.  So not only do you save money, but your video is more enjoyable to watch.

Film projectorThis is NOT how you should watch treasured family movies.
