Found old family slides from the 60s that my father had taken on his many travels with family and horticulture society throughout Europe. Video MVP did such a wonderful job putting the slides on a usb drive. My family are enjoying the history and memories. Thank you for the wonderful job!
All our pricing is upfront. We'll give you an estimate when we get your order. If something comes up, we will contact you.
All work is done here in our office. From a handful of slides to a box full, your slides are converted to digital here, not sent to another company or out of state.
Most common slides will be digitized at 2400 ppi and saved as an image file. Each image will be rotated to its proper orientation and flipped to the correct side (when possible).
Even the smallest particle of dust can look large when scanned at a high resolution. We gently wipe each slide to clean off debris and help your images to look their best.
Each image will be have filters applied to remove fine dust particles, as well as brighten the image and bring out the faded colors.
We will name your JPG images based on groups of at least 50. Place the slides in a zippered plastic bag and write a name on the outside (1970 Hawaii). Other file formats are available.

Here is a sample of the color correction results of a digitized 35mm slide.
You can use the slider to compare the color correction before and after. The level of improvement varies, but in general, the resulting digital image will look better than the original slide.
Video MVP did a great job scanning over 1200 slides of family pictures dating back into the early 1960’s. It was easy to work with Craig, who made it seem easy to accommodate my specials needs/requests for my group of slides. The work was done quickly, the finished digital files look great and the price was right! I highly recommend using Video MVP’s slide scanning services.
We care about your memories and we are here to help you preserve them.

This size is by far the most common.
This is also a common slide size, note its square image size.
These slides are also in a 2-inch by 2-inch frame, but the image is much larger.
A larger image than the standard 35mm slide.
A slightly larger image than the 126 format.
This slide has a very small image. Sometime seen with only the small inner square frame.
These slides have the film sandwiched between glass. These slides can scratch easily.
These are less common. They are half the film size of 35mm.
Designed to be viewed near the eyes, these two images are nearly identical, but give a sense of dimension.
These frames measure 2.75 inches by 2.75 inches.
These magazines stored slides safely. Be sure to remove slides from the magazine and metal frames before submitting.
Thank you for converting my uncle’s Vietnam color slides in medium format size to digital photos. If he locates additional slides I’ll contact again.
Your slides can be sent in zippered plastic bags (at least 50 per bag), carousels, or straight trays. You can write a title on the outside of the bag/carousel box/tray lid and we will use that as the group file name (like, 1968-1969). If your slides are in boxes, albums, magazines, or sleeves, please remove them before submitting to avoid handling fees. After scanning, slides will be placed back in the bags/carousels/trays, though we cannot promise the same order. Do not put any stickers on individual slides.
Each group of slides (50+ per group) will have an overall name and sequence number at the end. For example, "TrumanWedding_001". When a date is available, we will start each group with the year as well for easy reference like "1965_TrumanWedding_001". We can name your images based on the title of that bag/carousel/tray. Some slide sizes must be scanned differently so grouping may vary.
Yes. The easiest method is to put them in a carousel starting at the #1 position listed on it. The next option is to number each of your slides in a consistent corner of the frame. Start at #1 and go through to the last slide. Use only whole numbers (no A's or B's, no 1.5 or 1.75 to squeeze in extra slides). The file name numbers will match the number on the slide so those odd variations won't work. If you have your slides in separate groups, you can start a new #1 for each group (50+ per group). There is an additional charge for scanning slides in order.
Yes. Though our normal scan of 2400 ppi is high enough resolution for most purposes, we can scan up to 4800 ppi. We also offer the option of TIF files instead of the standard JPG files. Let us know your needs and we will guide you on the best choice for your project.
Yes, we give your slides back to you. We also offer the option to hold your media for 30 days. Many people who ship orders to us like this option to reduce return shipping costs. This allows them to review their conversions and then after 30 days, we will dispose/recycle the media.
Yes. After scanning, we can name each image with whatever information is on the slide frame. For example, a slide that has "Oliver Reunion 1962" would have the file name "1962_OliverReunion". This method allows all your slides to be sorted by date (when a date is available). There is an additional charge for this service. For slides with information saved in other ways, please contact us to discuss your options for saving that information into the image file name.
Yes. For orders over 2,500 35mm slides, we offer a quantity discount. The rate will be custom quoted based on the number of slides you have, the storage method, and the desired completion date. Contact us to tell us more about your 35mm slides.
Yes. When it comes to slides, people sometimes have thousands. Even when family members get together to digitize their slides, the budget can be a factor. You are welcome to set a slide amount or a dollar amount limit, when we reach that level, we will contact you and let you decide where to go from there. You can also prioritize your slides to do the most important ones first and others in future projects.
You sure can! Place your order and get packing tips for your slides. When we receive it, we will give you an estimate and expected completion date. Need it done fast? Let us know your deadline and we'll do whatever we can to meet it.
Video MVP did a great job of converting our family's archive of 35mm slides to digital images for my Dad's 90th birthday celebration. Amazing color and clarity for film images that were 45 to 55 years old. Very grateful to see old friends and relatives as the young people I remember! A treasure!
We get orders from all across the United States. No matter what you have: video tapes, film, audio reels, slides, photos, or more, we can transfer all your media to digital.
